Archangel Gabriel Parish is piloting a Catechesis of the Good Shepherd Level I atrium and we need your help.  Here is what we are looking for:

• Adult volunteers to complete the Level I training and become CGS catechists.  This training is an opportunity to embrace a method of catechesis that will deepen one’s relationship with God.  It is instructive and experiential and captivates both the head as well as the heart.  The training is a holistic approach for the adult, enriching him or her in a background of scripture and liturgy, theology and prayer, as well as the pedagogy of the young child, enabling the adult to help the child enter into a relationship with God.  CGS training is “retreat-like,” giving time and space to absorb the richness of what it means to live one’s baptismal covenant and grow in the love and knowledge of God.  The Level I training is 90 hours and scholarships are available through the Diocese.  To see upcoming courses, visit the CGS USA website.
• Woodworkers, seamstresses, painters, and other “crafty” people to help us create the materials needed for the atrium.
